42nd Anniversary Spring Gala

We expect to break ground this coming August 2022 and begin occupying the building the 2024-2025 school year.

The financing will be done through bonds. We will keep working without pause until the project is completed and functioning.

e are grateful to our team of professionals including our Architect Consultant and Owner’s Representative Rosella Harvey of Northstar; Architect Martin Hopp and his skilled team including Hammad Ahsan of Martin Hopp Architects; Construction Manager Doug Renna and his team of professionals at Consigli; and Engineer Shari Leventhal and her team at Langan Engineers. We also have many great consultants and engineers that are supporting this wonderful project. In addition, we have legal counsel and support from Jack Martins and Andrew Komaromi of Harris Beach PLLC. We are planning to build a LEED Gold building. We are using mass timber in our construction and will be one of the few buildings in the Northeast incorporating this new wood product that is a low carbon alternative to concrete and steel. We are proud to build green,

upholding Evergreen’s mission and vision to support our earth’s resources. The 85,000 square foot building will meet the modern educational needs of our students in a safe, attractive, non-contaminated environment, with the most modern technology. The building will feature a large gymnasium with a running track and have a teaching kitchen facility for cooking classes that will be incorporated into our high school graduation requirements. Other features include multiple green spaces throughout the building where we can grow vegetables, enjoy nature and appreciate outside space. The building will be an inspiration not only for our students but also to the community of Hempstead and the greater community at large.
