• If you need access to emergency food, call the emergency food hotline at 866-888-8777. You can also call 311 to find a local food pantry or kitchen. There is no income limit or requirements for access to emergency food. For more information on emergency food, visit: https://access.nyc.gov/programs/emergency-food-assistance/ • Children in New York City schools have access to three free meals per day through the Department of Education. There are 400 places to collect food in the city. No registration, identification or documentation is required, but meals must be eaten off-site. Delivery locations can be found at https://www.schools.nyc.gov/school-life/food/free-meals • People age 60 and older who need food can contact the New York City Department of Aging to ensure their meals are delivered to the home. Seniors are asked to call 311 or visit https://www1.nyc.gov/site/dfta/services/thrivenyc-at-dfta.page • For those enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), you can now buy products and groceries online with direct home delivery. EBT cards can be used online for ShopRite, Amazon, and Walmart. SNAP benefits cannot be used to pay home delivery fees.
