Immigrant Family Unit Forum

T his past December 8th, Círculo de la Hispanidad in collaboration with the Hispanic Federation organized an important Immigration Forum at Círculo Center. Due to the immigration situation in the United States, the deportation policy, the lack of a comprehensive federal Immigration legislation, and the fear that thousands of families and their children in our communities would be deported, there was an urgent need to inform and educate our community and professionals working with undocumented immigrants. The Forum, attended by over 100 participants, provided an opportunity for participants to learn from lawyers and representatives of organizations helping immigrants with their legal status.

We would like to see a comprehensive legislation passed to benefit those eligible that we believe will also benefit the United States at many levels.
