interview continued CH: I took a few years off. Mostly relaxing and traveleing. AL: At what point did you realize that retirement wasn’t your cup of tea?

CH: Several years later (after retriring) I started getting really bored. As an entrepreneur involved in different industries, I needed to be creative. I woke up saying, “I’m unemployed and I’m not so happy about it.” After about two years, I decided to ease myself back inot the business world. AL: What was lacking form your life in that period, which made retirement seem unfulfilling? CH: I did pretty much everything I wanted to do. I didn’t play golf or had hobbies. Business, especially as an entrepreneur, kept me sharp. AL: Why did you decide that returning to work onstad pf, taking up a hobby would be the cure for boredom? CH: I messed the action. AL: How did your wife and other family members react to your decision to keep working into your 80’s? CH: My wife has a hobby. It is knitting. I told her business is my knitting. She got it right away. AL: What are the psychological/emetional benefits? CH: Working kept me young. I feel like I’m 30 again. AL: What advise would you giove to folks who want to “unretire” and purse a later career in life? CH: Just do it. It’s never too late!
